This Privacy Policy explains the collection method(s), use, and sharing of your information when you use our mobile application.
The goal is transparency on information access(es) and sharing. We emphasize the following:
To create an account, you must complete the following verification steps:
While no verification system is entirely foolproof, we implement multiple verification methods to help ensure the privacy and integrity of college communities. Users who do not verify for a college affiliation may neither create an account nor access features of the app or be able to view or interact within college communities.
To ensure the safety of college communities (so that each community is only accessible to verified members of the community), we require users to verify that they are the owner of an e-mail address with the corresponding .edu domain to their college.
To use Muall, only parents, legal guardians, or other adults are allowed to make purchases through our Services. Children under 18 are not authorized to use Muall or make accounts.
Muall currently does not promote any advertised content.
When you interact with the Muall app, we collect the information and content you create. For example, we review the text and/or image content of your posts, replies, chat messages, and collect metadata regarding such messages that may collect the identity of the user and any users they communicate with. All posts and replies are public and are publicly displayed. They may be viewed, shared and modified by our users, us and others for commercial or personal purposes (consistent with the rights and licenses in our Terms of Use). Your personal information is never publicly visible to other users or moderators in the Muall app, but please keep in mind that if you include information that could identify you in the text or image of a post, people who see it may determine your identity. Muall does not post chat messages publicly. However, as with any message that you send via any service, the recipient might do so. Muall has no obligation to keep private any information that you disclose to other users or the public using these functions. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose Personal Information through the use of these tools or functions. We strongly recommend that you do not post any information through the Services that allows strangers to identify or locate you or that you otherwise do not want to share with the public.
